Parcel & Co.
Cutting my teeth on logistics APIs and the unglamorous internal tools.

- The place
- Logistics & fulfillment · operations software · ~120 employees
Parcel & Co. was where I learned to write software other people depend on. I worked on logistics APIs and the internal tooling that operations ran on — the code that isn't exciting but breaks loudly when it's wrong. It's where I learned to love a good test suite.
What I did there
Kept the logistics APIs honest
Owned a set of shipment-tracking and rate endpoints, improving their reliability and adding the integration tests that stopped a recurring class of production surprises.
Fixed the tools nobody wanted
Took on the neglected internal tooling that operations relied on daily, turning brittle scripts into maintained services and learning how much leverage there is in unglamorous work.
Learned the craft
This is where testing, code review, and reading the code before changing it stopped being rules and became instinct — the foundation everything after was built on.
